Luccas Are for Everyone

How to publish your own aphorisms and/or those of your friends outside of Aphorist.info.

I lead a happy but busy life with my family of six here in southern Italy (my background). I considered accepting any and all lucca submissions but because of time limitations, maintaining a lucca website open to all is not realistic for me. So I am focusing on aphorists who, like myself, have been inspired in some way by Nietzsche.

If you haven't heard of Nietzsche or you don't like him, it doesn't matter. As with any other type of writing such as essays, poetry, diaries and blog articles, luccas are open to anyone to write and share. They merely contain the special thoughts, "mini-poems" and insights of a lifetime. You can set up a website or blog webpage that is just as good as or better than aphorist.info.

Setting up your own lucca webpage is easy to do. Here are instructions:

1) LUCCA WRITER - Download the Lucca Writer Freeware. Unzipping the file gives you only one program: Lucca_Writer.exe. Put it in a new folder. Open the program and click on the Lucca Writer tab. Copy and paste your aphorisms (each separated by the asterisks symbol *) into the left window. If you want to reorder your aphorisms go to the Help tab for instructions. Otherwise click on the --> button and then the >--> button which are between windows. Enter your name. Save the completed web page with any name. In the right window area is your lucca webpage code for inclusion in your own personal blog website. Without closing Lucca Writer, proceed to step 2) below.

2) YOUR OWN LUCCA WEBSITE - The free blog hosts, Wordpress.com and Blogger.com, both allow you to insert the web page html code that will be copied from the Lucca Writer software. I'm sure there are also many other free hosts to choose from.
Here are instructions for Wordpress.com:
Sign up for a Wordpress blog. Sign in. Go to the "Dashboard". Click on the tab "Write". Then click on the tab "Write Page". Enter a Page Title (e.g. The Aphorisms of ..... ) Click on tab "Code". Go back to the Lucca Writer software. Click in the "Finished Html Webpage" window on the right. Press control-A and then control-C to copy your lucca webpage code. Go back to Wordpress. Click in the big text area. Press control-V to paste your code in the window. Click on the "Publish" button and your lucca is published on the internet.

To publish luccas of your friends, you need a webpage like my List of Aphorists with each author's (including your own) best 10 aphorisms and web address link. The links can refer to your friends' luccas hosted on your website or their own website.
